Questions Homeowners Ask Before Hiring a Concrete Contractor

Q1: How is pricing calculated?

Square footage is the base, but final pricing depends on removal (if replacing), access, base prep, thickness, number of steps, borders, pattern/color (if stamped), and sealing

Q2: How long does the job take?

Depending on the size and type of the project, as well as weather restrictions such as rain, the timing of the job can vary. Typically, work on the front of the house takes about 3–5 days to complete. We’ll give you a clear timeline before starting.

Q3: When can I walk or drive on it?

Walking is often possible within 24–48 hours. Driving typically requires longer. We’ll tell you the safe timing for your exact job.

Q4: Will concrete crack?

Concrete can crack — that’s normal. Good prep, control joints, proper curing, and drainage planning help cracks stay minimal and clean.

Q5: Do you remove old concrete?

Yes — if this is a replacement job, we can remove and dispose of old material and rebuild the base properly.

Q6: Stamped vs exposed aggregate — which is better?

Stamped is more decorative/patterned. Exposed aggregate is premium stone look with great traction. We’ll recommend based on your home style and budget.

Q7: Do you seal stamped/exposed concrete?

Typically yes. Sealing helps protect color and finish. We’ll explain options and maintenance.

A JOB WELL DONE! My house, although custom built, the builder did not do a good job on the main entry steps. Over the span of 20+ years I had contracted several companies for repairs but they all charged me an arm and length and their workmanship was well below standard. Right Way Concrete was recommended by a family member. Their estimate appeared reasonable and I hired them. Throughout the tenure of their job I was personally watching them. From the preparation of the base to final aggregate concrete finishing I was more than satisfied. Evidently, there was much more work in the removing & levelling of the existing concrete but the owner Shamsher never asked for additional payment.
